Cane Spline is used to secure machine woven cane into the groove on a chair. It is made of core rattan which makes for greater pliability. It is curved on the upper edge and wedge shaped at the lower edge allowing for a tighter fit.
To determine the size of spline needed, measure the width of the groove then deduct a little bit to allow for the thickness of the caning. If the spline ordered is too big, it can be easily trimmed with a planer, razor type knife, or sandpaper.
Please Note: Measurements of spline are based on our supplier's listings and may vary slightly.
