Cane Webbing: Machine-Woven Replacement for Groove-Style Chairs
Cane webbing — also called machine-woven cane, pre-woven cane, or sheet cane — is woven by machine from strands of chair cane. It is sold by the inch and is primarily used for redoing cane chairs that have a groove around the seat opening rather than drilled holes.
Important: If your chair seat or back has holes drilled into the wood around the outside edge, you will need to do hand weaving instead.

Sold in 24" width.
This is a closed woven pattern.
To determine the amount of webbing required, measure from the outside edges of the groove at the widest point (front to back and side to side) and add 2".
