Cane webbing is pre-woven cane made by machine from strands of chair cane. It is primarily used for re-seating cane chairs that have a groove around the seat opening rather than drilled holes.
The mesh size on the traditional patterns is determined by measuring the distance from the center of one hole to the center of the next hole. If you are unsure of the cane webbing please send us a sample and we will match it. Instructions for installing the cane webbing will be included with your order.
We currently carry 14", 16", 18" & 20" wide rolls. This pattern is a 1/2" measurement from center of one hole to center of the next. Please indicate the number of inches (length) you need in the "quantity" drop down option. Price is per inch (length).
To determine the amount of webbing required; measure from the outside edges of the groove at the widest point, front to back and side to side & add 2". For example: if your seat measures 16” x 15” from groove to groove then you need a 18” x 17" piece of cane.
